Travel Grant Scheme of Indian Society for Root Crops

Indian Society for Root Crops (ISRC) is pleased to announce the Travel grant scheme to its members to attend international conference.

Terms and conditions

• The applicant should be a life member of the ISRC
• Theme of the conference should be relevant to tropical tuber crops
• Presentation must be oral and the subject area must be on tropical tuber crops
• Three persons- Student, Executive Committee (EC) member and Life member, one each- will be considered in a calendar year, depending upon the availability of funds
• If no EC member is financially supported by the organizers of important tropical tuber crops meetings like, GCP/Asian Cassava Workshop/ISRTC meetings etc, subject to the availability of fund, ISRC may support one EC member to ensure the representation of ISRC
• Priority shall be given to the ISRC members who have not attended any international conferences held abroad
• Members will be awarded the travel grant only once in their life time
• Application should be submitted in the prescribed proforma available in the website of
ISRC to the Secretary, ISRC, ICAR-CTCRI, Sreekariyam, Thiruvananthapuram-695017
• The applicant should not avail any other parallel travel grant for the same portion of the travel from any other organization
• Maximum of Rs.50,000/- and Rs. 10,000/- will be granted for international meetings, which are held abroad and in India respectively .
• The awardees should submit the original travel documents within 15 days after return
• The travel grant will be paid only as reimbursement, however exceptional cases advance payment will be given with the concurrence of EC of ISRC
• The decision of the EC of ISRC is final
