The ICAR- Central Tuber Crops Research Institute, Thiruvananthapuram under the aegis of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi is the only premier Research Institute in the world, dedicated exclusively for research on tropical root and tuber crops. It is located at a panoramic location about 12 km north of the Thiruvananthapuram city.Thiruvananthapuram, formally known as Trivandrum, the Capital city of ‘God’s Own Country’ Kerala, is well connected by road, rail and air. Located in the southwestern tip of India, Thiruvananthapuram is bound by the Arabian Sea in the west and Tamil Nadu in the east.
